Aloha

We have just enjoyed a fabulous holiday on Kauai Island, Hawaii. I have posted pictures here if you'd like to look.

We hired a Ford Mustang while we were there but the maximum speed limit on the island is 50 mph and, more usually, 25 mph. It was really hard concentrating on keeping the speed down - especially when the car itself was urging me to go faster.

I thought of the beauty and tranquility and slower pace of life on Kauai when travelling back into London on client business on Thursday. From jockeying for position at the ticket turnstiles at King's Cross, through being almost run over by a cyclist in Belgrave Square, to rude commuters pushing me and my coffee out of the way - and all over others - in the evening as they prepared for another similar day when 'aloha' simply wouldn't make it into their dictionaries.
